Setra wish to contribute to a sustainable development by promoting the renewable building material wood. From a climate point of view it is much better to use wood in constructions and to replace steel and concrete since wood is renewable and gives a direct and lasting effect on greenhouse gases, mainly carbon dioxide.
A continous effort
Setras environmental effort is an integrated part of all our operations and is based on our environmental policy. The goal is to continuously improve and prevent pollutions. The daily work is carried out in our production facilities both according to comprehensive group environmental targets as well as locally set environmental targets, for example, on waste amounts, noise levels, dust and pollutions to air and water.
All Setras raw materials complies with the controlled wood set by both certification systems, FSC or PEFC. All of Setra Swedish production units is traceability certified according to FSC or PEFC. All of the units are also ISO 14001 certified (read more under Certificates).
