Setra supports the development of responsible forestry and increased use of certified forest products.
All raw material used at our Chain-of-Custody certified facilities must comply with PEFC requirements and FSC Controlled Wood standard.
This means that Setra does not accept raw material that comes from:
• illegal harvesting.
• genetically modified tree species.
• forests with serious adverse social consequences
• forests in need of protection, in Sweden areas that meet the National Board of Forestry's definition of key biotopes and where felling is not recommended by the supervisory authorities. For imported raw material this applies to raw material from high conservation value forests.
• natural forests that have been converted to plantations or non-forest use.
Raw material deliveries from sources that do not comply with this policy will be stopped immediately and the raw material kept separate from other raw material.
