The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) aims to ensure that products placed on the EU market do not contribute to deforestation or forest degradation. Following decisions at EU level, the implementation of the regulation has been postponed, and the requirements will now apply from 30 December 2026 for companies operating within the forest industry.
At Setra, we have been preparing for EUDR for an extended period by mapping our raw material flows and developing traceability throughout our value chain. We have also maintained, and continue to maintain, a close dialogue with suppliers, customers and industry associations to ensure that we can meet the requirements placed upon us.
The changes and simplifications recently adopted within the EU are expected to make implementation more proportionate and manageable for the forest and wood products industry. At the same time, certain aspects of the regulation continue to be analysed and clarified by authorities and industry associations in Sweden.

Our goal is to ensure full compliance with the regulation while providing our customers and partners with a transparent and reliable supply chain, based on traceable raw materials from responsibly managed forests.
