Wood Package Types From Setra
Depending on the application and handling of the timber, there are various package types. The customer's wishes and requirements often determine the choice of packaging. Everything is organized by which package type.
Different sizes
Wood products are handled as standard in Sweden for 3 dm modules within the range of 1.8m - 5.4m (1.8m, 2.1m, 2.4m, 2.7m, 3.0m, 3.3m etc .. up to 5.4m)
Sawn goods are delivered mainly in 1m long packages and planed products primarily in the 50cm high package. Some products, such as splines, are supplied in so-called quarter packages, which are 25cm high. The width of each package is around 1m.
Height Bundles
LP 3 = 3 decimeter capacity cut to standard modules
(E.g. The length in the entire package is 3.9m)
Length Group
LG 0 = 1 centimeter log in a "3dm module"
(E.g. 3.90m, 3.91m. ... 3.92m up to 4.19m included in the package)
LG 1 = 1 decimeter log in a "3dm module"
(e.g. 3.9m, 4.0m and 4.1m are included in the package)
LG3 = 3 decimeter log within three "3dm module"
(ex. 3.9m, 4.2m and 4.5m are included in the package)
"Broom Package" / Truck Package
TP 0 = 1 centimeter log. Assorted lengths in the package.
(Eg. 1.80, 1.81, 1.82m to 5.4m, etc ...)
TP 3 = 3 decimeter log. Assorted lengths in the package.
(Eg. 1.8, 2.1, etc ... 2.4m to 5.4m)
(Ex. 3.9m in full package)
Specific Length
XP = cut to a specific length. (Ex. 3.95m for the entire package)
Packaging
In principle, all our wood comes covered with plastic to protect from dirt and moisture, during transport and storage.
Handling timber the right way
Take good care of your timber. Wood has a good resistance - provided it is handled properly. To preserve the wood's high quality, it should be protected against rainfall, sunlight, dirt and ground moisture.
