Setra and the EU Deforestation Regulation

We take responsibility – Our products comply with EUDR

Setra Group AB is actively preparing to ensure full compliance with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) by 30 December 2025. We are currently working closely with both suppliers and customers to enable a smooth transition, while also adapting our internal processes to make compliance as straightforward as possible. At Setra, we are firmly committed to sustainable forestry practices and fully support the overarching goals of the regulation.

What does EUDR mean for the wood industry – and for you as a customer?

The EU’s new Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) comes into effect at the end of 2025 and aims to stop the trade of products that contribute to deforestation. For the wood industry, this means that all wood products sold within the EU must be:

  • Deforestation-free – the wood must not come from land deforested after 2020.
  • Legally produced – in accordance with the laws of the country of origin.
  • Traceable – with data showing exactly where the wood was harvested.

For you as a customer, this means you can trust that wood products from Setra are sustainably sourced and fully compliant with the new EU requirements. We are working closely with our suppliers and adapting our processes to ensure a smooth transition – without compromising on quality or delivery reliability.
