Press release from
Setra Group AB
26th of October 2026

The result for the third quarter is a significant improvement compared with the same period last year. The decline compared with the second quarter is due to a weak result in July because of planned maintenance shutdowns, while the following months show a positive result. Falling timber prices and increased internal efficiency, together with a favourable currency effect, are reflected positively in the result, while the uncertain global situation continues to put pressure on finished goods prices.
“Setra’s work on continuous improvements, combined with lower timber prices because of storm Johannes, continues to have a visible effect on the result. Setra is continuing its work to strengthen the company’s long-term competitiveness by continuing to work with efficiency improvements and profitability, and on ensuring the greatest possible value yield from every sawn log,” says Marcus Westdahl, President and CEO of Setra Group.
