Setra’s Board of Directors has decided to initiate the recruitment of a new CEO and Group President. The background is that the current CEO and Group President, Marcus Westdahl, who over the past year has combined his role with treatment for a serious illness, now sees a need to give greater priority to his health and his family.
“Over the past year, it has been my ambition to continue leading Setra alongside my treatment. However, the illness has made me reassess my priorities, and I feel that I need to devote more time to my family. At the same time, I want to continue contributing to Setra and help ensure a good transition to a new CEO and Group President,” says Marcus Westdahl.
“Marcus has shown a very strong commitment to Setra and has led an important and necessary change process focused on increased profitability and a changed industrial structure. We have great respect for his efforts and for his wish to now prioritise differently. The Board is now continuing its work to ensure continuity in Setra’s management,” says Fredrik Munter, Chairman of the Board.
Marcus Westdahl will remain CEO and Group President until further notice. The timing of the change of CEO has not yet been determined.
